O Centro de Endoscopia Rio Preto (CERP) foi fundado na década de 70 pelo Dr. Alaor Caetano, sendo considerado centro de referência em São José do Rio Preto e região. Desde então vem realizando exames de endoscopia digestiva alta, colonoscopia, ecoendoscopia com punção, colangiopancreatografia retrógrada endoscópica, gastrostomia endoscópica, tratamento endoscópico de varizes e colocação de balão intragástrico. O centro, em 2011, foi responsável pela introdução da ecoendoscopia na região.
